The grantsz were funded by the recent supplementakl appropriations bill that Congress passedf and President Barack Obama signed into law onJune 24. “Withn flu season around the corner, we must remain vigilantg and do all we can to prepare our nation and protecfpublic health,” said Sebelius. “Theses grants will give statexs valuable resources to step up their flupreparednessa efforts.” Wisconsin is eligible to receive $4,753,288 in Publi Health Emergency Response grants and $1,642,2276 in Hospital Preparedness grants.
A total of $260 millionm in Public Health Emergency Response grantsand $90 milliohn in Hospital Preparedness grants will be distributed nationwide.
